In a moment that marks a turning point in the pursuit of climate justice, the long-awaited advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on the obligations of states in the context of climate change was issued on 23 July 2025, following a request from the United Nations General Assembly. This development comes amid the deepening climate crises in our Arab region—from water and food insecurity to climate-related disasters—accompanied by a lack of robust accountability mechanisms and environmental justice frameworks.

Recognizing the legal and political importance of this moment, Dibeen Association for Environmental Development and the Egyptian Foundation for Environmental Rights are honored to invite you to an online Arab analytical dialogue entitled:
