More than 300 families whose homes were destroyed during Israel’s 2014 war on Gaza are expected to receive financial aid from the Kuwaiti fund, Minister of Public Works Mufeed Hasayneh said on Tuesday.
He said in a statement that the money will be disbursed to 305 families to help them rebuild their homes.
This is the second payment from the Kuwaiti fund destined to help Gazans devastated by Israel’s war to rebuild their homes.
The first payment went out to 1704 families, said Hasayneh, who thanked Kuwait for its contribution toward rebuilding Gaza’s homes.
Israel’s war in the summer of 2014, the third in six years, left more than 2200 Palestinians dead, most of them civilians with over 500 children, and thousands of homes either totally or partially destroyed.
